1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Service" refers to watch repair and maintenance services provided by meridiop
- "User" or "You" refers to the individual or entity using our services
- "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to meridiop
- "Website" refers to the meridiop website and associated digital platforms
- "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions together with any service estimates or work orders
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and meridiop. You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. By using our services, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.
3. Service Description
meridiop provides mechanical watch repair and maintenance services, including but not limited to:
- Emergency stem and crown repair
- Full mechanical service and overhaul
- Luminous material restoration
- Component replacement and refurbishment
- Water resistance testing and gasket replacement
Services are provided subject to availability and our assessment of feasibility. We reserve the right to decline service requests that we deem impractical or beyond our capabilities.
4. Service Process and Responsibilities
4.1 Initial Assessment
Upon receiving your timepiece, we conduct an initial assessment to identify issues and determine appropriate repair approach. This assessment is provided at no charge for watches left for service.
4.2 Estimates and Approval
After assessment, we provide an estimate of costs and expected timeframe. Work will not proceed without your approval. If additional issues are discovered during service, we will contact you before proceeding with additional work.
4.3 User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about your timepiece
- Disclosing any known issues or previous repairs
- Responding to communications regarding your service in a timely manner
- Collecting your timepiece within 90 days of service completion notification
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Pricing
Service prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided. Prices may be adjusted if work extends beyond this period or if additional issues are discovered.
5.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment via bank transfer, cash, and credit card. Full payment is required before timepiece collection unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
5.3 Uncollected Items
If a timepiece remains uncollected for more than 90 days after service completion and payment, we reserve the right to charge a storage fee of MYR 50 per month. After 180 days, we may dispose of uncollected items in accordance with Malaysian law.
6. Service Warranty
6.1 Warranty Coverage
We provide a 12-month warranty on mechanical service work performed, covering defects in workmanship. The warranty period begins from the date of service completion.
6.2 Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, or improper handling
- Normal wear and tear of components
- Water damage if water resistance specifications were not maintained
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Issues unrelated to the work performed
- External components such as crystals, cases, or bracelets unless specifically serviced
6.3 Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period. We will assess the issue and, if covered, repair it at no additional charge. We reserve the right to determine whether an issue falls under warranty coverage.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of meridiop and protected by Malaysian and international intellectual property laws.
You may access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
8. Disclaimers
8.1 Service Outcomes
While we exercise reasonable care and skill, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or performance levels for every repair. Factors such as the age, condition, and quality of the timepiece affect results. We will discuss realistic expectations during the assessment phase.
8.2 Third-Party Parts
When replacement parts are required, we source components from reputable suppliers. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of original manufacturer parts, particularly for vintage or discontinued models. Alternative parts may be necessary in some cases.
8.3 No Professional Advice
Information provided on our website or in communications is for general informational purposes. It should not be considered professional advice regarding timepiece value, investment, or authentication.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law:
- Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- We are not liable for loss of use, lost profits, or loss of data
- We are not liable for damage to timepieces caused by pre-existing conditions not identified during assessment
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Malaysian law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless meridiop, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms and Conditions or your use of our services in violation of applicable laws.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate a service agreement by providing written notice. If you cancel service before completion:
- You are responsible for payment of work already performed
- We will reassemble your timepiece to the extent possible and return it
- No refund of fees already paid will be provided
We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate our relationship with you if we believe you have violated these terms or if circumstances make it impractical to continue.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
12.2 Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
12.3 Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us to attempt to resolve any disputes informally. Many concerns can be addressed through direct communication.
13. General Provisions
13.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any service-specific agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and meridiop regarding our services.
13.2 Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
13.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
13.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to any party at our discretion.

All notices under these terms shall be provided in writing to the addresses specified in the Contact Us section below, or via email to the addresses we have on file.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
For services already in progress, the terms in effect at the time the service was agreed upon shall continue to apply to that specific service.
